Come to the site of the 1774 Boston Tea Party where the new Energy Revolution movers and shakers are gathering. As Americans did 234 years ago, we will be inspired to join or create our own piece of the Energy Revolution. Learn about the bold actions of our panelists, join an energy activist organization at tables set up in the lobby and expect a few surprises.
BuildingEnergy08 features three days
packed with speakers, workshops, and special
events. Each session invites thought and practice
leaders to both share with, and be challenged
by, their audience. It is a time to learn
and grow in your field of expertise.
Our Trade Show features technical products
and services upon which sustainable practices
depend. You are invited to visit vendors and to
meet and interact with colleagues who will
gather Wednesday and Thursday on the Trade
Show floor. NESEA provides a ticket for you to
enjoy lunch onsite, making it more convenient
than ever to learn about new opportunities.
On Wednesday evening, you are invited to attend the Trade Show Reception held on the Exhibition Hall floor. This collegial atmosphere, replete with a sumptuous buffet, is your time to get together with those who have vital products and services you need.
Green Elvis, Pecha Kucha & Green Auction
ELVIS IS GREEN AND IS IN THE BUILDING!
Come and enjoy the world's best Elvis Tribute Artist, Travis LeDoyt, perform at NESEA Night! Travis bears an uncanny resemblance to Elvis in looks, moves, and voice. He is a world-class performer having entertained audiences in Chile, China, Canada, across the US and Europe. Travis will be on hand to sing, dance and bring his own humor. This Elvis lives a green life, drives a Prius, recycles and eats organically... the King of both worlds. We don't think you'll be lonesome tonight. In fact, you may leave NESEA Night all shook up! For more information on Travis, go to www.travisledoyt.com.
SHOW YOUR STUFF WITH PECHA KUCHA
We’re offering you the stage. There’s one simple rule: twenty slides for twenty seconds. Show or tell whatever you want: an exciting project or an axe to grind. 20 x 20 = six minutes and forty seconds. The stage is yours. Entertain us. Then sit down.
This is Pecha Kucha (Japanese for “chitchat”).
This stimulating format has tapped into
a demand for a forum in which creative work can
be easily and informally shown without having
to rent a gallery or chat up a magazine editor.
Discover Pecha Kucha at pecha-kucha.org. Then prepare to present. Ramp up your rant. Wind up and wow us. Assemble your slides and submit to appear on the NESEA Night Stage. Learn how to submit.
LIVE AUCTION
Immediately following the Trade Show Reception, our NESEA NIGHT Host, John Abrams,
will emcee our Live Auction.
Experience the one and only John Abrams as our Guest Auctioneer. John will preside over a fun-filled auction. Bid on remarkable, beautiful green items, all of which have been generously donated. Be there to connect with the lively NESEA crowd and pick up some amazing prizes in the process. Yes, you must be present to win! View a list of available items.
SILENT AUCTON
For the past two years, NESEA has offered a wide array of sustainable, renewable, recycled and always interesting items at our Silent Auction. Last year we boasted close to 80 items. The auction is set up on the Trade Show floor during the day on Tuesday and Wednesday.
